OpenAI introduces ChatGPT for Teens and previews College Planner

OpenAI is rolling out ChatGPT for Teens, a tailored experience for users under 18. The mode applies automatically to accounts identified as belonging to underage users, enabling safety protections by default alongside new study tools and support for college advisers.

The company also previewed College Planner, an upcoming feature designed for high school students in the U.S. preparing for four-year colleges. The tool gathers application requirements, deadlines, checklist tasks, and financial aid milestones into a single workflow. More details are available in OpenAI's announcement on tools for teens.
