Databricks says Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 5.5 is now available across AWS, Azure, and GCP and is governed by Unity Gateway. Databricks says it is more efficient than Sonnet 5 for coding and agentic work and reaches Opus 5-level accuracy on document understanding, parsing, and search.
Databricks says Unity Gateway tracing and Genie One identified seven MCP-server bugs behind about $499,000 a year in wasted tokens, roughly 12,000 engineering hours a year of agent wait time, and 1,409 tool errors in 24 hours. Genie One ranked the fixes, and a coding agent helped close them within an hour.
Administrators can manage models, tools, policies and budgets in Unity Gateway while developers keep using Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and other coding agents. One configuration update is applied across supported agents.
Teams in ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or custom agents can use one interface to access structured and unstructured data, insights, and answers from Genie One, grounded in governed business context from Genie Ontology.
